Purpose of the service and no advice
AlpineCompare presents information on private banks and wealth managers active in Switzerland and puts people who ask for it in touch with private bankers of its partners, selected on the criteria stated in the questionnaire. AlpineCompare is not a bank, a wealth manager, a trustee or a client adviser, and is not an institution authorised or supervised by FINMA. It manages no assets, holds no client assets, executes no transactions and offers no financial instruments. The content of the site and the profiles shown are for information only: they constitute neither an offer, a solicitation or a recommendation to buy or sell a financial instrument, nor a financial service within the meaning of art. 3 let. c FinSA, in particular investment advice, nor tax or legal advice, and presenting a banker or an institution is not an assessment of their suitability for your situation. Reviewing your situation, opening a relationship and any financial service are solely the responsibility of the institution you choose. Any decision should be made after consulting a licensed professional.
Access restrictions and cross-border requests
AlpineCompare directs its services to the Swiss market: introductions are offered to private individuals and companies domiciled or with their registered office in Switzerland, and to persons preparing to move to Switzerland. Access to and use of this site may be restricted from certain jurisdictions; it is for the user to ensure that consulting the site and contacting a Swiss institution are lawful under the law applicable to them. Where a user is not yet domiciled in Switzerland, including when preparing to move there, their request must be made exclusively on their own initiative. AlpineCompare conducts no cross-border solicitation, directs no advertising to jurisdictions where its services may not be promoted, pays no finder's fee abroad, and reserves the right to decline a request or to pass on no data where the applicable framework so requires. Each partner institution alone decides whether it can follow up on a request.
Accuracy of the information published
The information published on institutions (services, locations, regulatory framework and other data) is indicative. It comes from public sources, in particular the institutions' official websites, and from the institutions' own disclosures; it is checked as at a given date and may change without notice. The information on private bankers (experience, specialities, languages, clientele, availability) is provided by the bankers or their institution and is not exhaustively verified by AlpineCompare. All of this information must be confirmed with the institution concerned. AlpineCompare warrants neither its completeness nor freedom from error, and corrects inaccurate information reported to it at contact@alpinecompare.ch.
Introductions and remuneration
The service is free for the people who use it: nothing is charged to them. AlpineCompare is paid by the partner institution (a private bank or an independent asset manager), under a business-introduction agreement with it, when a client it introduced signs a contract with that institution: the partner then pays AlpineCompare a referral fee whose amount and conditions are agreed in writing with each partner; no remuneration is due if no contract is signed. AlpineCompare therefore has an interest in proposing introductions that are qualified and suited to your project. Only private bankers of partners can be presented to you; institutions without a partnership are described on the site in the same way as the others. Remuneration plays no part in the selection of the profiles shown or in their order, which rest solely on the matching criteria described in the methodology (your answers, the profiles declared by the bankers and their availability); the same applies to a partner proposed by our team. Where a link is paid, it is flagged as such. Questions about the remuneration linked to your introduction: contact@alpinecompare.ch.
Terms of use and liability
Using the site implies acceptance of these terms. You undertake to provide accurate information, to give only your own contact details or those of the company you represent, and not to extract the published content or profiles by automated means. AlpineCompare may change or discontinue the site and the service at any time and decline or close a request, in particular where information is manifestly inaccurate. To the extent permitted by law, AlpineCompare accepts no liability for damage arising from access to the site, its use, the unavailability of the service, decisions taken on the basis of the information published, or the services provided by the institutions, which alone are responsible for them; liability for intent or gross negligence is reserved (art. 100 CO). Third-party sites accessible through links are not under AlpineCompare's control.
Intellectual property
The trademarks, names and logos of the institutions mentioned remain the property of their respective owners. They are mentioned for identification, information and comparison; this alone implies no partnership, sponsorship or endorsement on their part. The site's editorial content, methodology, texts and interface are protected and may not be reproduced without written authorisation.
Governing law and jurisdiction
The site, this information and the use of the service are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Mitras Capital Sàrl, in Villars-sur-Glâne, subject to mandatory places of jurisdiction, in particular the consumer's domicile (art. 32 and 35 CPC).
Controller and contact
The controller of the personal data collected on this site is Mitras Capital Sàrl, Impasse des Terrasses 14, 1752 Villars-sur-Glâne. For any question about data protection, to exercise your rights or to request the deletion of your data: compliance@alpinecompare.ch; for any other question: contact@alpinecompare.ch. This policy is based on the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), in force since 1 September 2023, and the Data Protection Ordinance (DPO). When a partner institution receives your data following your request, it processes it as a separate controller, under its own privacy policy.
Data processed
Questionnaire answers: situation (private individual or company), goal, wealth or amount bracket (never an exact amount), country and canton of residence or arrival, services sought and, where applicable, investment experience and preferences regarding the contact person and the institution; your statement of whether or not you are a « US person » (for a company: the company itself or one of its beneficial owners), used only for matching with the bankers who state that they take on these clients and passed on with your other answers when you address your request. Contact details: first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number (verified by a code sent by SMS), contact language and, for a company, its company name. Data linked to your requests: for each agreement (call-back request, confirmed introduction to a banker, agreement given for a named partner), the text of the agreement as it was displayed to you, its date and time, the receiving banker and institution, the version of the privacy policy in force, the page language, your IP address and browser, kept as proof of the agreement; where the banker provides direct contact details, the date on which they were shown to you after the introduction. Source data: campaign parameters, Google or Meta ad click identifiers, referring page and page variant viewed. Technical data: a random session identifier, the server's technical logs (IP address, date, page requested), and your cookie choices and proof of those choices (see « Cookies and browser storage »). We ask for no sensitive personal data within the meaning of art. 5 let. c FADP, no identity document and no detail of your assets beyond the bracket stated. If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, e-mail address and message by e-mail, only to reply to you: they pass through our e-mail delivery provider (see « Recipients »), are not stored in our database and stay in our mailbox for as long as we handle your request.
Purposes and grounds
We process this data to: prepare your selection of private bankers (automated matching of your answers with the profiles declared by the bankers, supplemented where needed by our team); verify your phone number; pass your request to the bankers and institutions you address it to; contact you about your request, including to follow its progress and ask for your feedback in order to improve the service; establish and check the invoicing of introductions with our partners; measure the site's audience and the effectiveness of our advertising according to your cookie choices; keep the service secure and prevent abuse; meet our legal obligations, in particular accounting obligations. This processing rests on your consent (box ticked at the contact details step, click on a call-back request, confirmation of an introduction, agreement given for a named partner, services accepted in the cookie management window), on our overriding interest (security, evidence, invoicing, improving the service) or on a legal obligation (art. 6 and 31 FADP). Consent can be withdrawn at any time for the future; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out or data already passed on.
Your requests and who may contact you
Once your number is verified, you see profiles of our partners' private bankers that meet the criteria of your request; at this stage nothing is passed to any partner. If you ask to be called back by the private bankers shown, you agree, by that click, that AlpineCompare passes your contact details and your questionnaire answers to each of those bankers and their institution, and that they contact you about your request. Under each profile, a note names the private banker and their institution: by clicking one of that profile's buttons (show the banker's number or contact details, or be called back by the banker), you confirm the introduction to that banker only and give the same agreement for that banker and their institution; the text of that note is recorded as your agreement. Where no profile can be shown to you, or if you ask for it, AlpineCompare may propose a partner that meets the criteria of your request: nothing is passed to it before you agree to that partner, named to you. Our partners are private banks and independent asset managers authorised by FINMA. Each institution that receives your request may contact you about it by phone or e-mail, and then processes your data as a separate controller, in particular to review your request and possibly open a relationship. In every case AlpineCompare may also contact you about your request, in particular to ask for your feedback and improve the service. A banker's direct contact details, where the banker provides them, are shown only after you have confirmed the introduction to that banker or asked that banker to call you back: this confirmation is your agreement to your request being passed to that banker and their institution, which receive it at that moment; AlpineCompare records this agreement and may rely on it with the institution to establish that the relationship arose through its introduction. You can withdraw your agreement at any time for the future by writing to compliance@alpinecompare.ch; we inform the institutions that received your data, with which you can also exercise your rights directly.
Partner bankers and wealth managers
When a private banker or wealth manager applies on the « Become a partner » page, we process their professional data to review the application, show their profile to prospects whose criteria match theirs, organise and follow up introductions (their call-back times and this follow-up weigh slightly on the order of profiles) and invoice their institution. It is stored in our database in Zurich and in our tracking file (Google Workspace, European Union region); our team is told by e-mail. Retention: for the duration of the partnership, then 12 months; an application that does not proceed, 12 months; the introductions log used for invoicing and accounting records, 10 years. Access, correction, removal of the profile and erasure: compliance@alpinecompare.ch.
Recipients, processors and transfers abroad
Your data is disclosed to the partner institutions you send a request to (see above) and, to the extent necessary, to our processors: Supabase Inc. (database, hosted in the Zurich region, Switzerland); Vercel Inc. (site hosting, functions run in Frankfurt, Germany, global delivery network); Twilio (sending SMS codes, processed in its Ireland region until handed to the phone carrier); Resend (sending e-mails from Ireland; account data, logs and message metadata stored in the United States); where applicable Google Workspace (request-tracking file, European Union data region) and an automation tool we run in Switzerland or the European Union; Agilitation SAS (Axeptio, Montpellier, France), which displays the cookie management window and records your choices and proof of them on our behalf, hosting them in Ireland with Amazon Web Services (AWS EMEA) and MongoDB Ltd, whose parent companies are in the United States, without receiving your questionnaire answers or your contact details (see « Cookies and browser storage »); Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads) and Meta for audience and advertising measurement, and Microsoft for replaying how our pages are browsed (Microsoft Clarity, for which Microsoft is a separate controller), according to your choices, although loading Google Tag Manager in itself sends Google your IP address and information about your browser on every visit (see « Google Tag Manager and measurement tools »); Vimeo (United States) to play our videos, only when you click one of them: Vimeo then receives your IP address and information about your browser, the player being loaded in « do not track » mode. Several of these providers are US companies; data may therefore be disclosed to Germany, France, Ireland and the United States. Germany, France and Ireland provide an adequate level of protection recognised by the Federal Council (annex 1 DPO). For the United States, disclosure rests on the recipient's certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised by the Federal Council since 15 September 2024 (Vercel Inc., Google LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc. and Vimeo state that they are certified), or otherwise on standard data protection clauses recognised by the FDPIC (art. 16 para. 2 let. d FADP). For Microsoft Clarity, data is disclosed to Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd (Ireland), which transfers it to Microsoft Corporation in the United States on the basis of standard contractual clauses; Microsoft stores it in its Azure cloud without stating the region. On request, we tell you the current list of our processors, their own processors and the applicable safeguards, and the institutions to which your data has been passed.
Retention periods and security
Your contact details are anonymised twelve months after the last event linked to your request; your answers, then separated from your identity, may be kept for statistical purposes. A deletion request leads to the immediate anonymisation of your contact details in our systems. SMS verification codes are deleted thirty days after they expire. Accounting records for the invoicing of introductions are kept for ten years (art. 958f CO), without your identity once it has been anonymised. Proof of your agreements (text displayed, date, IP address, browser) is kept as long as necessary to establish that the transmissions were lawful. Audience and advertising measurement data follows the periods stated in the sections dedicated to it. Security: database in Switzerland, restricted access partitioned per institution, server-side writes only, encrypted connections, two-factor authentication for partner accounts, logging of access to files; no contact detail or questionnaire answer is passed to measurement tools, except the Meta event described below, in hashed form and with your consent. In the event of a data security breach likely to result in a high risk to you, we inform the FDPIC and, where necessary, the persons concerned (art. 24 FADP).
Your rights and deletion of your data
You can request access to your data (art. 25 FADP), its rectification, its deletion, its delivery or transfer in a commonly used electronic format (art. 28 FADP), object to processing and withdraw any consent given at any time, for the future. For any request, in particular for deletion, write to compliance@alpinecompare.ch from the e-mail address given in your request or with the details needed to identify you. We generally reply within 30 days. A deletion request leads to the anonymisation of your contact details at AlpineCompare and to the institutions that received your data being informed; they handle it under their own obligations, in particular statutory retention. You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time, service by service, through the « Cookies » or « Cookie settings » link at the bottom of every page, which reopens the cookie management window (Axeptio); if it does not open, for example because a blocker prevents it from loading, clear the site's cookies in your browser or write to us at compliance@alpinecompare.ch. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, you also have the rights it provides.
Google Tag Manager and measurement tools (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity, Vercel Web Analytics)
The site's public pages (home pages, blog, guides and other information pages, the « Become a partner » page) load Google Tag Manager (Google LLC and Google Ireland Ltd, United States and Ireland) on every visit, whatever your choice. Google Tag Manager displays Axeptio's cookie management window and fires Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity according to your choices (Google's consent mode, version 2). It is never loaded on personal consent links or in the partner area. Loading Google Tag Manager in itself sends Google your IP address and information about your browser. When each page opens, every purpose is set to « denied » until Axeptio applies the choice you have already made or you make one. For each service you have not accepted, the corresponding Google tool does not load at all. You can also block Google Tag Manager (www.googletagmanager.com) in your browser, in which case it does not load, and neither do the measurement tools or the cookie management window. If you accept Google Analytics 4, Google may set cookies and measure your visits. If you accept Google Ads, Google may set cookies and measure how well our Google ads perform. If you accept Google Ads or Meta, the page also tells Google Tag Manager that a request was made, without any personal data. No contact detail or questionnaire answer is sent to Google. Google keeps this data under its terms and our account settings (at most 14 months for Google Analytics 4). Google LLC states that it is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (annex 1 DPO). If you accept Microsoft Clarity, and only then (accepting Google Analytics 4 is not enough), Google Tag Manager also loads Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd, Ireland, and Microsoft Corporation, United States), which records how our pages are used (pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, with your IP address, browser and device) to produce heatmaps and recordings of visits, so that we can spot the steps that cause trouble; Clarity then sets its own cookies. Clarity always masks the content of input fields, and we mask in full the questionnaire, SMS code, banker selection, request, consent and contact screens and the « Become a partner » form: your answers, your contact details and your selection are not sent to Microsoft. Microsoft states that it acts as a controller for Clarity and, by its own account, may also use this data for its own purposes, including advertising; we never pass Clarity a consent to advertising cookies, even if you accept the « Measure our ads » (ad measurement) category. Clarity data is stored in Microsoft's Azure cloud, in a region Microsoft does not state, and transferred by Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd to Microsoft Corporation in the United States on the basis of standard contractual clauses. Microsoft keeps recordings of visits for 30 days and click and heatmap data for 9 months; we cannot delete a single visitor's data from our account, and you can exercise your rights over the data Microsoft holds directly with Microsoft. Basis for the cookies and Clarity: your consent (art. 6 para. 6 and art. 31 para. 1 FADP). To withdraw it, switch off the service concerned through the « Cookies » or « Cookie settings » link at the bottom of every page: if you switch off Clarity during your visit, it erases its cookies at once and the page reloads without it; withdrawal applies for the future. In addition, Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc., United States, certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) measures audience in aggregate, without cookies or a persistent identifier: page views of the home page and steps of the journey (named after the step, never after an answer), campaign parameters, referring page, country and device type; it receives no data from your request and runs regardless of your cookie choice.
Advertising measurement (Meta Conversions API)
If you accept the « Meta (Facebook, Instagram) » service in the « Measure our ads » (ad measurement) category, and only then (accepting Google Ads is not enough), we send Meta Platforms, Inc. (Menlo Park, United States), once per session, a « call-back request » event when you ask to be called back or put in touch, in order to measure and optimise how well our ads perform. Without that choice recorded by Axeptio on the page, nothing is sent to Meta. Data sent: e-mail address, phone number, first name, last name, canton, country and an internal identifier, hashed (SHA-256) in your browser; not hashed: your IP address, browser type, Meta ad click identifier, page address (without parameters), type of request and page variant viewed. Hashing is pseudonymisation, not anonymisation: Meta can match these values with Facebook or Instagram accounts. No amount and no information about your assets is sent. Basis: your consent (art. 6 para. 6 and art. 31 para. 1 FADP). Under its Business Tools terms, Meta deletes the contact details after matching and keeps event data for at most two years; for some uses, Meta acts as an independent controller. Meta Platforms, Inc. states that it is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised by the Federal Council since 15 September 2024 (annex 1 DPO). You can withdraw your consent at any time by switching off Meta through the « Cookies » or « Cookie settings » link at the bottom of every page; withdrawal applies for the future: no new event is then sent, and you can exercise your rights over the data already sent directly with Meta.
